My name is Mihai Timaru, and photography is my passion. I was born in 1979 in Bicaz, a small city from Romania, and my interest in photography began when I was a kid. At first, I had to settle for reading about photography because there were no digital cameras, and even the film cameras were pretty rare and expensive. This is why I think I’ve managed to have a good understanding of basics: iso sensitivity, aperture and exposure time.

My first camera was simple, the focus was based on my estimation and the lens scale, the aperture and exposure time were another estimation based on my film speed and light conditions … so the rest was luck. I hope I’ll manage to show you some of my old pics.
